There are dime a dozen marketing and sales gurus out there helping people and entrepreneurs to become better at the art of selling. But very often, they do not tell you one thing and this is crucial, especially if you are an entrepreneur.

If you want to make good money in sales, doing one-on-one sales calls might do the trick and if you are a great salesman, your craft will take you even further but the truth is you can only be limited by the time and number of people you can contact in a day. Many entrepreneurs fall down the rabbit hole of one-to-one selling to make money but this strategy limits growth and success.

Mastering your salesmanship skills is one thing but leveraging that skill to craft killer sales pitches to larger audiences is what will take you closer to total financial freedom.

The leap to financial freedom

You can be a salesman and not be an entrepreneur but what happens if you are an entrepreneur with no sales skills? You could still be successful if you have a product that’s awesomely unique and very much needed out there but let’s be honest, what are the odds of that happening? Your best bet would be to actually master the art of selling and be able to sell anything.

The best skill you can acquire as an entrepreneur or salesman is the ability to scale your killer salesmanship skills to a huge interested audience rather than focusing your efforts on targeting a small group of individuals who will take up your time and might eventually not purchase.

How to scale your salesmanship skills?

Scaling your skills to hit large audiences is the greatest skill that you can have in business. You need to be able to multiply your salesmanship through advertising. Your sales message should reach people in places where you cannot be physically and be heard in places where you cannot speak. Traditional advertising offered newspapers, billboards, tv, sales letters and many more to do that but the methods that we have today are far better in terms of targeting and measurement. Whilst you are sleeping, you could be selling to a potential customer interested in your product or service, ready to purchase. Isn’t that wonderful? Not quite actually, the wonderful part of it is the ability to track that person and do some retargeting to convince them once you are up, even if they did not ask for it! Social media advertising and search engine ads offer tracking pixels which do just that! Your salesmanship skills are taken to the next level, instantly.

You need to feature in the right places to grab the opportunity to use your salesmanship skills to acquire customers out there.

How to make your scaling worth it?

Being on every advertising platform targeting potential customers is not enough to be successful. Your message should be solid. You should advertise to your prospects in the same way you would do in a face-to-face selling situation. Of course, you would have to be concise but at the end of the day, customers are interested in just one thing: what’s in it for me? They do not care about you and your business, they care about what you have to offer and what benefits and gains that offer brings to them. If you have been long enough into face-to-face selling, you will know what I am talking about. That enlightenment on the client’s face when you tell them how that problem will solve their problems or how it will bring a positive change in their life. That works!
